Roots-Rock/Americana Sidemen Form Super-Group, Release Album
Drummer Jimmy Lester (Billy Joe Shaver, Webb Wilder, Los Straightjackets), Bassist/Vocalist Mark W. Winchester (Planet Rockers, Emmylou Harris, Brian Setzer) and Keyboardist/Engineer Kevin McKendree (Leroy Parnell, Delbert McClinton, Brian Setzer) got together to perform singer/songwriter Winchester’s material on some club dates around Nashville, TN in 2025 and soon couldn’t resist making a record of the unique sounds they were creating. The melodic and sonic possibilities that opened up for Winchester when he started writing/performing on a 2-String bass also provided open-styled creative spaces for Mckendree and Lester, within the guitarless trio framework. Having mastered their instruments through years of backing major-label recording artists, the true joy of playing loose and free, and boss-less comes swinging through on their May 29, 2026 Debut Release, “They Got It All”.
